Linux Magazine (ISSN 1432-640X) is a European professional journal. It addresses itself to readers who work professionally with operating systems based around the Linux kernel. Linux Magazine is published by Linux New Media AG and was born after the great success of Linux-Magazin. It is published in English and every issue includes a DVD, usually featuring a recent version of some Linux distribution. The website keeps a comprehensive archive of back issues, with content more than 6 months old available as a free download in PDF format.
Recently Polish, Romanian, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish versions were introduced.

The magazine is referred to by the publisher as Linux Magazine International because it is not exclusively distributed in England, but also in other countries around the world. This caused some confusion with another magazine called Linux Magazine (published in USA by InfoStrada). In the U.S. the European Linux Magazine takes the name Linux Pro Magazine.
In 2008, Linux New Media, the publishers of Linux Magazine, purchased[1] assets related to InfoStrada's Linux Magazine (USA). Linux Magazine (USA) continues to exist as an online publication, so no name-change was applied to Linux New Media's magazine.
The magazine is published on the first Thursday of each month. Since the 11/2004 issue, cost per issue is as follows: 5,50 EUR in Germany, 6,30 EUR in Austria, 11,00 CHF in Switzerland, 14,50 EUR in Italy, 14,90 BRL in Brazil, 6,50 EUR in Portugal and 5.99 GBP in the UK.
Linux Magazine is published by the Linux New Media AG.
Linux Magazine is also published in German, Polish, Romanian, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.
